Until the railway labor act is changed we will never get a fair contract. Until we unite under ONE union we don’t stand a chance. They supposedly agreed to freeze the H&W contributions at the end of the contract. But the also had the unions sign a agreement that they would pay back any increase’s until the next contract soo we didn’t get anything WE still pay in the end.

It’s true ask your international rep if they signed a side letter acknowledging that if there is any increase in the H&W we will owe it . And it will not be negotiated wether through normal negotiations or through the PEB
But I saw it on Facebook! Has to be true!!!!!! The Union's haven't released it until their lawyers have been through it. Nobody else has seen it yet. I do agree that the place is a real sh-t show but what else do you really think we are going to get? You can accept the offer or Congress will do it for you. The average blue collar worker barely makes half of what this contract gives us with worse insurance. Granted they have a lot better life than we do, but we all knew what were signing up for. NS was very straight forward about the life here. Bottom line is live with it or move on.
Did you see this hypothetical Union signed agreement that the union would pay back any increases. Of course you didn't because it don't exist.
