A friend recently started looking for a new job and he just landed a similar position he had at Centene. His pay went up by nearly 20k. Now, take into consideration that's just his starting pay! Did he get lucky or are we being severely underpaid here? Knowing Centene, it's probably the latter.

Centene planning massive layoffs and every company under their umbrella .They sent packages in the mail which should have arrived at peoples homes on August 10 2023 .They did not even tell their managers who the people being laid off are.So much for Sarah London being so understanding of people’s needs!
Always..always explore outside opportunities. Never stop interviewing - even when you’re happy in your role.
You want context? I am a person who took an offer for more money at another company. Life is much better now. To be honest, I would have been happy cleaning out pig stalls for half the pay. There's more to life than how we can all work harder to make Centene another shady billion. I was just checking in to see how my coworkers are doing. It looks like it is not great.

Doing "Just the Minimum" is management speak, meaning they are doing the job they are paid to do. Centene management will realize one day that it is not possible to conduct business without people willing to do the work. There are more of us than there are of them. Start a Union?
Never talk with your boss or HR if you feel you need a market review. That's like talking about the overall price of horses with the man who's selling you a horse.
The first response to this post: "You are also probably an employee who does" just the minimum". and. "You accepted the job knowing the pay." This is all the PROOF you need of Centene's sickening, toxic culture!
Id--tic post. You accepted the job knowing the pay. Centene also pays more than most other companies in my experience. You are also probably and employee who does “just the minimum” then complains why you aren’t being promoted. Centene pays market so talk with your boss if you feel you need a market review. You did not provide the role this person had or got, so lots of missing info.
