Anyone experienced regrouping or project cancel? Does it mean a layoff?

We are paying price now for projects canceled from 3 years ago, no doubts.
Missing revenue really hurts.
LOL at predicting revenues 3-5 years out. The canceled projects were trash. Most of the non-canceled projects are trash too.

What is the use of people working on non essential projects that won’t generate any meaningful revenue?
