Thread regarding Norfolk Southern Corp. layoffs

There are too many reasons to leave here

Although an important reason, inadequately compensated work is not the biggest reason why I am now looking for a new job. I will accept an offer that offers higher pay, but it is also important for me to be treated like a human being.

I'm glad that someone in one of the threads mentioned the workers forced to work endless OT and being on call. No paid sick days, no medical cap.

Even if I were to get a huge pay increase at NS, I would still be looking for a way out. I believe that there are many others who think like that because it's not all about the pay.........

Hahaha good luck. You might find higher pay, but in the end most work places are the same. They'll promise you the world at the interview, of course. You'll have the drama, the back stabbing and you'll have to negotiate your raises on your own and merit. Oh, and without a union, you can be fired because the boss wants to hire his poker buddy.
