Another meeting with no mention of layoffs. I’m just going to have to go and stop waiting for it to happen. I wish I was old enough to retire.

Which department(s) had the recent Town Hall?... possibly yesterday?
CCC is Customer Care Center (the 800 # folks)...ASIC is Allstate Service Information Center (the folks we chat with when help is needed on one of the many foul-ups that happen constantly)

There are layoffs coming. ASIC, CCC, and underwriting have already been informed that they will be impacted. No set time or numbers provided though. Just because your area has not been impacted or told anything doesn't mean there are not other parts of the company about to be affected. Claims isn't the only department in the company you know.
Allstate is busy trying to hire people, especially in claims. Despite what the doomsaying trolls on this board claim to be true, there aren't any mass layoffs on the horizon.
