Picket lines

This may be a d-mb question but in 22 years being a member of a few unions this is the closest I've come to a work stoppage. My union (BRC) apparently ratified that roll of toilet paper that was waved at us. So we won't be calling a strike. Am I required to go to work under the new agreement if the other unions have a picket line up? I'd rather not if it won't affect my employment status. I'd like to support people who actually are standing up. I know what would happen in the real world but the railroad is an upside down place.
