Let's be real, everytime before this the Union says they have secured us a win it goes south. Unpaid sick leave? Great now NS adopts a point based attendance system in response, especially if they offer TFT voluntary rest days on pools. What about meals? I bet they gave the railroads something, maybe adding a year to the step rate for CT's? They want to ram this through before we know what we got. I bet it's only 5 unpaid sick days a year with more given for higher seniority

What happens when the monthly contribution skyrockets? Looks like it only freezes after the contract is over. Raises will not cover your energy costs, your food and gas either. Plus you know taxes are going to go up. NO NO NO.

This only benefits the company to safe face, as a company they don’t value any of us as employees. What other corporations doesn’t give their employees sick days? Life happens, families get sick for goodness sake’s covid is still a possibility for anyone. The pay increase is a joke after the insurance increases and inflation we want end up with a deceit raise, why isn’t there a cost of living increase each year. Minimum wage will soon be $15 and hour in many places. Everything is twice as expensive. If the union had a backbone they would demand the benefits we deserve instead of trying to offer breadcrumbs.

Right, it still needs to be ratified and I hope each member reads the fine print. Still a good chance we all say fu-k this.
