Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

I feel bad when I see such comments

It is clear to me that most of the comments advising to leave this misery of a place, that no longer appreciates loyalty and hard work, are essentially well-intentioned. However, isn't such advice a little depressing? I think it is.

Every adult knows that they should always have a back up plan and look for better opportunities. But the question is, who wouldn't leave here if they could find something better? I don't know such a person.

I feel like the company used underhanded tactics to rid itself of unwanted employees. These impacted employees were blindsided, plain and simple. TMUS has garnered enough resources to use normal attrition to balance headcount going forward. No need to layoff. This was very mean and the affected employees got their feelings hurt.

OP, you’re being down voted by others because you lack situational awareness. T-Mobile recorded record growth, stock buybacks, surpassed Verizon in EBITDA, sold wireline for $1, and announced a very risky jo--t venture with SpaceX. Sievert already has a failed Layer3 TV launch, so he’s taking financial risks that can further jeopardize employee stability and company credibility.

The anger is justified because this layoff lacked empathy and advance notice. It’s exceptionally hard to process when the financials and justifications don’t make sense. Entire groups of people were laid off that have proven leadership and tenured experience in telecom.

Leaders are not necessarily exclusive to management titles, but they did contribute to the success we see today and were disowned without so much as a single recognition for their collective contributions.

leadership promoted themselves last year and laying off people this year also have enough money to buy back stock, does it sound right, think about it, folks.

TMUS doesn't need any of you. If you disappeared today you would not be missed. Get a real life, get your resume out there and get a great job, only you can do it. When interviewing, remember to tell them you can do anything and everything. Accept any offered salary, you can lobby for a raise soon after hiring on.

Speed of trust told us start ourselves, I do not have a way to bring tmus down, I will tell ppl around me to not use TMobile service. We will do little by little.

Why leave? Other potential employers will beat you down on salary, forcing you to earn less than you were making at TMUS.
