It's terrible what mediocrities I have to work with here. Is it that there is no more professionalism or is it that nobody cares about being professional anymore?

I love coming to this site to see how most talk big but just keep rolling over when daddy tells them to. Most have been doing it for at least two years now
I left last year but morale was in the toilet at that point. The way certain leaders were allowed to speak down to peers and underlings was unbelievable. Even when it was done in writing nobody cared. My new company is the polar opposite. Amazing what a difference competent leadership makes on the entire organization.
These "leaders" are professional liars and deceptors. They know exactly what is going on and what is coming. Don't believe a bit of their scripted nonsense and fake smiles. They don't care a bit about you.
You want to know what is unprofessional? Some home office hood who has no idea what they are doing and who has no clue how this company runs giving a directive to their brown nosing coward underlings to give a message to thousands of employees in multiple departments saying that they may be laid off or transferred to foreign contractors like cattle with absolute zero details, time frames, numbers impacted, or expectations of when anything may be known. That folks is where the professionalism in this company has gone.
As I prepare for another day of agony here I can't think of anything more toxic, depressing, and hopeless than the overall culture and atmosphere of Allstate. Praying so hard to be laid off with severance soon. 🙏
How can anyone expect the employees to be professional when the top 3-4 levels of this company is anything but? Scumbags at the top, all of them.
The professionalism went away with the decline in morale, enthusiasm, and passion brought on by the clueless egomaniac suits in Chicago who couldn't run a lemonade stand let alone keep this sinking ship afloat.
Thank God we work from home. Could you imagine how people would be with each other now in an office setting with so much anxiety, distrust, dis-satisfaction, and paranoia?
