This sounds like the best thing you can do. Get your CV as close to perfect as you can. Practice your interview skills and techniques. Research the companies you'd like to work for and ensure that, unlike DXC, they are ethical and treat their staff and clients well.
Then get out of DXC to work somewhere better. This will increase your salary, and reduce your stress levels as you won't be burdened by an unrealistic amount of work (caused by the people who were doing some of the work being laid off), whilst constantly being threatened with WFR.
Leave the cesspit, and go work somewhere better. Leaving DXC was one of the best things I ever did, you could do it too.
