I don't care. I hope Avaya goes down in flames and NEVER returns. I can't wait to roast marshmallows on this dumpster fire.

No big vendors made an offer to buy Avaya during its 2017 Ch11 episode, so wondering why they would 5 years later. Unless, of course it's a full Ch7 liquidation where big competitive vendors could purchase Avaya IP/Patents at fire-sale prices (per Avaya's purchase of bankrupt Nortel in 2009). Even then, what good did Nortel's acquisition do for Avaya? It should've been Avaya's saving grace.

Talking of Avaya's contact centre capabilities. What a muddled history... Remember CentreVu Internet Solutions, then acqusition of Agile Software's Contact Center Express (Elite Multichannel) and Nortel's Next Generation Contact Centre (Avaya Aura Contact Center), not forgetting good old Elite/CMS, IQ, Avaya Interaction Cente, Engagement Development Platform/Breeze (and functional Snap-Ins!), Oceana/Avaya Analytics...

Also remember as far back as 1999/2000 Lucent Technologies/Avaya days, the strategic intention to '...transition from hardware to software/services company like IBM'. History shows IBM's pivot was successful. Avaya, not so much... Heads too deeply buried in the past. Fast forward 21 years: May 2021 - Statement: Avaya CEO Jim Chirico: ‘..We Are A Software And Services Company’. Sure... if you say so!
Whatever next? Avaya stating they're now a credible Cloud vendor and able to rejoin the Gartner xCaaS MQ club? (Pity they recently laid off the Cloud R&D team).

In 2000 when we spun off from Lucent and was around 32K employees maybe 38K, don't remember - the analyst published reactions to the spinoff/new company Avaya. The #1 thing they said was - dial tone is a commodity and the only asset of value that Avaya has is the Call Center solution. And the ki---r quote was:

"I'll be excited with Avaya when they are 10K in size and only delivering Call Centers"

No one will be buying Avaya. No one wants the debt or internal dynamics that led to the current state. The play here is to go after your customer base. It's already happening.

Ring Central is not a big vendor and would not be strategic.
Yet Don't focus on who would buy Avaya. FOCUS ON RIGHT SIZING the company as the poster above shared. Position Avaya to be attractive. I would have to agree. Get rid of the silly people. Focus on the business. You can't put lipstick on a pig here. Everyone has pig radar and is watching. You must upgrade the pig.

YES! IF. AND ONLY IF.....Avayans stop the silly online complaining. Avaya has value if it slims down and focuses on the core of what it does well. It will never be bought if they don't slim down and right size the business. And those people who still have jobs yet are very vocal on social media (and not just 'social' media, professional networking site media which should be reserved for networking) should be fired instantly. Don't people understand that every investor. Every day trader. Every bond holder. Every investigative law firm. And most critically, every possible BUYER is monitoring everything they put out. And I must say, I would worry about the quality and aptitude of employees who are so emotional and unintelligent that they would post the things they are posting. They don't not understand the basic ethos of working for a publicly traded company, let alone one that may or may not be under investigation.
