Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Operations Tyson's bridge

Apparently is the code name for the spin/merge initiative / deal. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Very insightful post from the IBM side in reference to DXC. Seems to explain a lot about whats going on not only at IBM/DXC but in the whole industry.

The divestiture of Kyndryl was not about getting out of the Infrastructure game folks, it was about quickly getting rid of the workforce who couldn’t execute. This was all described in the 2018 Bain report - in order to run GTS effectively, IBM would have to cut too many people who work in labor protected counties. They simply couldn’t legally do it that easily. The plan was always to rebuild Infrastructure in house or buy a company who did it better. I saw the plans myself. The recession was something they couldn’t anticipate though- no way IBM could get a loan now with cost of capital being what it is and Red Hat hasn’t paid off the debts enough. They need to get the cash in another way or use another mechanism. I’m not at IBM anymore and don’t have any connections I’m on good terms with enough to ask, but I’m guessing they’ll do a partnership for a few years until cost of capital goes down.

@2xum+1iD0rWIA I still don't understand why ibm would want any assets that look remotely similar to Kyndryl thats gonna be a Investor Relations nightmare....

I'd be curious to know if anyone has any inside info RE the possible IBM merger/purchase I'm seeing a lot of rumours about... Is there any element of truth to it? I could see something like a merger with the ITO side of DXC, rather than the full thing.

Well-being managing your money talks from Fidelity , like they have a clue. My 401K is tanking because Fidelity doesn't know how to Navigate a volatile marget

It's the 4th year now Salvino just making things up as he goes along.

No positive growth seen yet.

They are still focussed on cutting mode, so from that benchmark you can see the strategy hasn't delivered.

Time for new leaders these have been given too much time, including a bo-m period for IT.

"Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel." No, no, no...... Hope is not a strategy! It is the only thing left when all the rest failed! It is either a merger, file for chapter 11 or file for bankruptcy. There is nothing left to sell...they ran out of options to cover up all their complete failures. And they are desperate! Mr Shouty and his team are sitting ducks. Can't wait to hear the narrative for the Q2 results...

So these kleptocrats will do whatever it takes to ctu loading the millions on their bank account and keep the "transformation" going for another 5 years while delivering absolutely nothing and starving the workforce again. The scam will continue and it will even be worse with IBM.

Do these "leaders" belong on Wall Street, in an executive team or in a boardroom? Villains belong in jail and their millions are to be foreclosed! Right?

Well, that light at the end of the tunnel could just be the front of an oncoming train....

This is DXC after all.

It’s the only way the executive will get another lucrative pay day. They have been an abject failure so make money on the way down and way out. DXC is the “Kodak” of the industry and is never coming back.
