I was part of the WFR in Canada on Aug.14, 2020. Here we are just over 2 years later and they've had a second WFR in Canada on Sep.7, 2022. Same approach both times: terminate the tenured, expensive staff and replace them with level 1s. I have no doubt they'll do the same thing again in another 2-3 years.

Kind of reminds me of what my uncle used to say to me when he accidentally burped out loud, "It'll never happen again until the next time."

So no more layoffs? Great... but it will probably happen again next quarter, won't it? People are probably still wondering when they're next. When I got laid off a couple years ago, my entire team quit. My director had the audacity to move across the company to a different organization afterwards. I guess he didn't want to deal with the consequences from the VP.
