Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Let's see how many of you see this as a long-term option

If nothing changes regarding working conditions, what are the chances you’ll still be working at DXC in a year? Or even in six months? I know a lot of new employees are quick to leave as soon as they get a true taste of DXC, but I'm more interested in those who've been here a while.

Quiet quitting, awaiting wfr pay-out if it doesn't come by calendar year end will leave. Nothing to stay for, most of my closest colleagues have already gone.

Why don't we make profit - because there's been no investment in people, training and equipment for years. Too much bureaucracy stands in the way of any real work getting done. The clients see it - and don't want us touching anything that could add value. They go elsewhere for that.

"Our seniors can’t understand why revenue is down, it’s T&M not fixed price"

Yep; it's cost they're accountants as opposed to business people. They're too witless to understand what our company does and how we make profit. "Oh, just move that cell from here to there and we'll get more share-options"...

Out of a team of 30 PMs working on T&M projects at the start of 2022, 14 have left and not been replaced, in fact recruitment is now frozen. Our seniors can’t understand why revenue is down, it’s T&M not fixed price, I need people to do the work! No pay rise this year will drive more people out and eventually our client finds a new supplier willing to look after its key resources, us.

I am gone in 3 months after 15 years in the US. Waiting for my 401K match, then I am leaving. Next position is waiting for me as well.

EVERY OTHER job in my 40+ years in IT, I have received a minimum of 5% increase a year. Here at DXC only have had 2 increases while executives keep getting huge increases. If you see the post on DXC Values Mike S failed in everyway and is a fu-ken lies that he cares about us

My heart goes out to all of you. It's like playing chess. I was blessed to be spun off from DXC in the Perspecta spinoff (great company before going private). If you remember, we were part of the HPE nightmare. Stay healthy, try not to stress too much and maybe look for a local call center job if you're over 50 and not in management.

25 years service and leaving?
Shirly (sic), you're better off quiet quitting to get on the WFR list?
Everyone else seems to be doing that !!

Been here (or predecessor company) for over quarter of a century.
Kept giving successive new "seniors" the benefit if the doubt.
Faith has turned to hope and then desperate assumption.
Too sickened by the latest series of self-interested, disgusting behaviour (not just to employees, but also to Clients and Shareholders) so decided that my morals will not allow further chances.
Getting out ASAP
