Going to get ugly soon. I warned everyone twice before and was spot on both times. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but take my announcement as an opportunity to get out before they kick you out. Peace!

What's the next depts?
DM’s. District realignments
Which area???????? Why all the vague comments? Maybe because it’s not true?
And so it begins. Announcement came today…
More cuts today? Any idea the departments affected?
More positions eliminated today. Just the beginning of another round of cuts of long term and good employees.
What you have seen, it's just the start. October is the time when managers settle scores and start another round of re-orgs. Keep moving people around. Ensure that everyone is as un-happy as management is. This dumpster fire is just warming up.
I have to laugh regarding the folks above assuming severances and major org changes are done. Lots of ba--s in the air with expectations of the Union Bank acquisition, and major organizational senior management decisions being made without telling employees the end game. This bank is getting out of small markets, period. So if you are in a small market, Id be working on that resume.
I can’t speak for any other office but we have very little customer traffic. We have also lost many customers and some people have so little to do they basically scroll on their phone and/or do nothing all day. Plus they keep centralizing more and more tasks. Personally with all the reorganization, loss of long term quality employees and loss of huge loans with no new loans to replace them I don’t see how this is sustainable. We have not done more than a few loans in three years. October will be interesting.
It just looks like this site is for people trying to stir the pot and cause issues. Completely negative. No wonder you're not at U.s. bank
Not even close to done for the year. There are MASSIVE announcements coming yet this month that will rival or exceed everything we’ve already seen this year.
Historically, they have conducted layoffs every October for the last ten years. It comes with the standard Q4 warning of hiring freezes and reduced expenses.
Enough with the "guru/oracle" nonsense about layoffs. It doesn't take a genius to know cuts are made at certain times of the year.
What we know is this happening right now - a lot of open high-paying positions with bonuses, a lot of promotions recently (big ones), and a lot of people are leaving. The embittered ones are on the outside creating a narrative when not knowing what's going on.
If it's your time to go, it's your time to go. Other than that, keep calm and carry on.
Do you know roughly when? Within days weeks, or months???
Which departments/roles are you referring to that will be eliminated?
Unless you are miserable, let them kick you out, but have you resume, etc. together. Severance is heavily taxed but even so it ain’t shabby.
I have also heard about “alignment” of some job duties coming in October.
Nope, you are wrong.
October will soon arrive. RIF and reorganize is all management knows.
Wrong. They are all done for the year.
