Will there be a continuation of layoffs tomorrow? I'll be honest, I'd rather have them be done with layoffs this week than have to wait once again for months to see what's going to happen. Now that they started it, they might as well finish it. I'm tired of anticipatory stressing.

All, Stop drinking the Avaya Kool-Aid.
Now our Avaya colleagues are being forced to cover up us laid off folks, to customers and colleagues, that "we decided" to pursue other opportunities within sudden disappearances.
This has been the most horrible experience of my 30+ career in telecommunications. Never even had a chance .

The “word” is: Avaya leadership is being extremely careful not to disrupt potential sales that have a good chance of being closed that are “large”. Hence a wait and see for the next rounds. Masarek confirmed more are coming and they are only those in other theaters aside from N. and S. America.
From what has been said by those in Avaya: Direct management response to direct questions (any word on more layoffs? Anyone on this team still in jeopardy) is “I don’t know”. “It is what it is”. And etc.
This is far different than prior rif events where management would gather the team and ask for good thoughts for those departing.
A few deleted have guessed that once major deals are secured or lost that are pending, and Avaya understands it’s EOQ and EOFY sales results to some certainty, sales and product and overlays as well as those who may have specialist roles.. involved in these pending sales.. may/will be rifd in the next round. Those that had few sales forecast remaining for the month likely were those sales reps already let go. Anecdotally it checks out.
Heard there are more cuts to come in other theaters globally over the next few weeks. Likely delayed because of the employment laws of the affected countries.
Also got the sense of immediate leadership levels that there may have been the ability to protect either designated people or X number, and everyone else geot tossed into the HR lottery for FMP. Thus the surprise on some of the people who were cut yesterday
