In all company meeting Pat said there is no layoff now and just slowing the hiring. I see a lot of people complain about intel. My question is if you don’t enjoy why do you stay? Work in place you enjoy. With this mentality I can say you might not enjoy any company.

Now the fun starts! The pre-layoff period is even more toxic than the layoffs.
Managers will start targeting their least favorite employee.
Colleagues will start framing each other as the fall guy.
Every comment on work performance will be challenged.
Let the hunger games begin.
Who cares about work today when all you need to do is survive till next year.
The operative word is now.
Layoffs will be Christmas gifts from Intel to employees.
Good job HR, now please start preparing the VSP and ISPs.
Hit them when they least suspect it.
Pat can't promise anything. His masters are Wall St and institutional shareholders. If earnings and stock price continue to plummet investors will demand cost cutting. After the toilet paper and fruit get cut there's no way staff isn't affected. If Pat doesn't obey his masters he would be replaced. Given his embarrassing performance so far I'm sure there's already a bullseye on his back.
Pat cannot violate the laws of economics.
He’s building fabs for customers that will never materialize.
This has to be accounted for… eventually.
The end result will layoffs in the coming months or years. Depending on how long investors will float this pipe dream.
Reality is going to hit Intel hard.
good idea to bury your head in the sand.
The Optane group is gone.
VCG US is only what we are hearing is on the top radar to chop off. The rest of the company may be 10% based on the criticality/project but the message would be performance. Many managers are waiting on the HR formula.
May be the insight session postponement is the strong signal.
