The Ship IS turning around. For years it was travelling sideways. Now there is no doubt it is sinking to the bottom. Not the turnaround you were looking for?

Surprised there’s anyone left. Anyone joining now mustn’t have seen the recent threads on the layoffs!

I worked with some really good guys at DXC but also lots of people who were incredibly risk averse and seemingly scared to apply for a job on the outside. The irony is that the longer you leave it, the worse the consequences. Senior management will not reward your misplaced loyalty, they'll just assume that you're a mug.

Every time I read someone trumpetting "turning the ship around", I can't help but think that it is not just 5 wasted years of DXC's existence that the ship has been turning. Prior to that, another 5 years of legacy CSC was also spent turning that ship around. That is 10 years... pretty long time to turn anything around. The reason why this ship won't turn is because it has already sunk. It is like trying to turn the Titanic around undersea today... you might be able to do it but it will still remain sunk.

: @alr+1iAE8OQU - If you find a good paying job, you should definitely leave. This is market driven economy and you are free to choose your employer (provided you have marketable skills which are in demand -... And that is not just being in meetings and filling out wbs codes, which most dxc'ers do.). Btw - there are jobs in NGO"s who help in climate change initiatives and you seem to have good skills in that area and look out for something. Btw - DXC Technology is a technology company and we are turning the ship around.

Hard to understand why people would stay at DXC listening to that old nonsense about ‘turning the ship around’ that has been the mantra for years as things continue to get worse. There are so many better paying and less toxic jobs out there. I spent the last few years working as a consultant to numerous IT firms and most of the guys I met, I then met at other firms which confuses you. They were young with families and had jumped for more money and better career prospects. The rates for roles I have seen over the past 6 months we’re paying silly money. However, that bubble may burst soon as firms are finding less consumer spend (unless you sell energy efficient air fryers or insulation) , high energy costs and distribution network fuel charges making it more likely they will soon introduce recruitment freezes.
