Any thoughts on todays town hall?

Meaningless fluff coupled with another confirmation of layoffs. Business as usual.
Hogan is the least slimy of the group in my opinion, but it is funny how "tough decisions" never effect the executive level. I have heard the tough decision talk so many times it makes me sick. Is it really that tough to fire thousands when it puts more money into executive bonus structures and raises their stock options?
If it were that tough we wouldn't do month after month, year after year so stop acting like you care.
I attended. First one in years since I am now in the Corebridge realm. Kevin seems like an ok guy. Kevin did say more hard decisions coming with automation and third party usage. They also introduced a hatchet woman that came from Metlife. So, CB folks, you are still on layoff alert. I believe once you build it, get it going for Accenture....you are gone. This could be a year or so imo. Maybe you will get an offer from Accenture? Yuk.
Completely agree with the last comment. I exceeded goals 3 years in a row and received no extra sti and a meaningless raise all 3 years. Why do I care if AIG makes a billion or zero? I do not, the only thing I care about is that the company not go belly up before I get out and take my 401k and pension with me. Aside from that, earnings calls, townhalls, rah rah cheerleading sessions......don't care. Do as little as possible and get out soon that's the goal.
I stopped attending all townhalls and really any large employee conference calls where no one will know if you are there or not about 2 years ago. It is a pointless waste of time. I couldn't care less how the company is doing and I really want a rif package so my only incentive would be to hope they announce a rif at a townhall, but I figure I will hear about that if I get so lucky so I do just about anything else to avoid townhalls.
