Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Will high European energy costs sink dxc?

Considering europe is DXC's largest region I'd imagine there are alot of data centers there right? Anyone got any intel on where in Europe? What will happen this winter when Germany is forced to start rationing energy?

@nil+1i8vj7Kh: "When is this raise going to be announced?"

I'll spell this one out: the only thing that is going to raise is the number of people being laid off. Shouty has committed to taking $500M costs out of the business this year (not clear if financial year or calendar yet). He won't do that by increasing anyone's salary.

If you want a raise, bring your CV up to date and make it perfect, practice your interview techniques, and leave. Go and work for a company that values its employees and customers ahead of the opinion of Wall St.

@hds+1i8vj7Kh xan you elaborate a little bit more? The pure plays as in people who only focus on ITO?

The Pure plays are again in a better position cause their contracts typically do not involve facilities charges - so essentially they are saved. There is definitely a disadvantage depending on how much of our hosting contracts have facilities built in as fixed costs.

What will happen to the employees.

No pay raise so far, inflation at 10%+

Will have to heat their homes with expensive fuel, provide electricity, provide Internet connection.

When is this raise going to be announced?
