The waiting game is the worst. I'm a "rip the band-aid off" kind of guy and I'd prefer to just get it over with than having to wait and guess when it's going to happen and if I'll be among those notified. The wait is only increasing our stress levels for no good reason. Just get on with it already.

Been there and have the scars. The small crumbs of comfort are that most people get another job. Theresa big world out there.
Almost 30 years with the company (via buyouts, etc.) and I expect to be hit during this round of layoffs. The Company preaches and expects loyalty from their employees but offer none in return.
I was laid off from Avaya on 15 July so it has been silently started already.
