Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

So, I've had enough...

I'm a manager and is awful for us also. There's too many of us and layers upon layers so we just hold loads of meetings, most of the strategy is around squeezing the workforce in every was possible from pay, expenses, benefits, work, etc and spying on them.

The higher management don't realize that staff want pay and benefits for motivation.

Some managers are just bootlickers who like to lick the next layer brownnoses, they can't think for themselves or say hey that's not going to work or we can't keep screwing the staff.

By constantly beating the staff and keep promising them next year pay raises every year they realise we are not telling the truth.

it's very difficult to motivate staff, so many good people are leaving.

So, I've had enough... I'm off to a company where they treat staff much better so my job won't be about constant cuts meetings and brownosing.

I will leave, just waiting on my payment.

There's so many of us we are trampling over each other and totally bored.

How many new admin tasks can you invent for the minions to do, or meetings can you invent in a day?

The above level managers keep inventing non productive ideas to justify their existence, and the below level people are leaving in droves and are not interested in these stupid ideas. Even we know they are irrelevant but to keep our manager in a job we have to Nod yes.

You cant implement anything mid term as the environment isn't stable with the continual exodus as people are fed up with these tasks and no pay.

Maybe it's better if they moved us managers into technical roles, or sales roles where we are required and could be productive.

This would allow the layers to be made efficient.

Fixing these unnecessary overhead layers we might actually have something to do and the company would be in better shape winning business or at least being efficient.

1i4dpY7e - agree; seems for once we have a decent manager within this company and will face even more pain when he's given strict orders from above to make number of his employees redundant when the forth coming WFR will come shortly.

However it is also a chance for the manager and his staff to seriously look around and land another position at a better employer that is willing to pay more, treat staff with respect and to invest in them - Better off out of this ^%%%^ company.

It will take you six to nine months to stop worrying about when the next round of redundancies is happening. I speak from personal experience.

By the looks of it, DXC's next round of redundancies is coming very soon.
