Transformative Growth

I hate TGP. Did anything positive come out of it? I don't think so.

It’s still “transforming.” Not done yet.

The only good has been that Glenn has been exposed as a complete and total failure at leading once again. Unfortunately the realization is probably too late.

Good bet that Allstate is soon acquired by a private equity firm who takes it private, engineers a ruthless and complete overhaul of everything, then sells off the pieces.

Stock isn't down to indexes

Allstate shares have lost about 1.7% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's decline of -14.2%.

Not sure what the growth part is. Stock is down, company losing customers, nobody wants to work there etc. in no way has there been growth. The program is a failure.

I made some great friends at Allstate and we’ve all moved on to better careers with other companies in the last 2 years since TG. It made me a stronger person working 60 hour work weeks and I learned to appreciate it when a better job opportunity came along. Do it for the experience and get out after a year or two. It was a great job at Allstate when we were fully staffed in auto claims before TG.

In the long run a positive thing for me was I got a much better job. I thought I liked my job before transformative growth kicked in and it became a cr---y job. I suffered for two years and finally found a better position with a competitor. The job I have now, while not perfect, is better than anything I had with Allstate.
