Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The bulk of the blame belongs UP TOP!

Yes, that's right! The Board Members that bring on the failing CEOS one after another is the cause for Intel's fall from once up high. Failure after failure, missed opportunity after missed opportunity, it can no longer chalk it up to a bad streak. It is now deeply rooted.

Time to OUST THE BOARD!

Youd wonder if the BOD got PSO and BK names from a hat. PSO did not understand, could really not imagine the cloud business. He gave practiced but shockingly incorrect answers to basic questions. BK was shockingly ignorant of events which are open source everywhere and instead of sharpening his business acumen he was involved in sharpening his pencils.

It's really amazing how much impact a good CEO can make. AMD had poor performance, and almost went bankrupt after many CEO's, until Lisa Su came. She cleaned house and brought in many new exec staff. Apple had the same story with a string of CEO's that almost bankrupted the company until Jobs returned. Jobs also cleaned house and brought in new leadership. Intel's dominance was during the Grove era followed by his close predecessors. Then the company BOD let clowns run the show and drove the company into the ground. Intel BOD needs to 1) find the great leader 2) leader needs to clean house and bring in new exec leadership. Until both conditions are met Intel will continue to sink.

I've been saying it for years that all of the BoD needs to be let go. Relics who are stuck in the late 80's and 90's with zero creativity, no vision of what the future of tech is.

"Layoffs are politically impossible.
You can’t take govt handouts and then layoff Americans."

Pat’s credentials are way overstated.
He doesn’t seem to understand the organizational rot and how to fix it.
You need new leaders, new processes, incentives and so on.
He ain’t Steve Jobs that’s for sure.

Bad optics.

It’s also the reason they didn’t issue an earnings warning.
They waiting until the last second just when the chips act was passed.

It’s all very transparent and pathetic.

If you ask around, you’ll see that current job offers are lowballed now vs the competition and so you have a stealth hiring freeze.

@cuf+1i3AJq1Y -- I agree. He is not doing any layoffs but hiring crazy. His only goal is to collect fat paycheck for 5 years.

Pat had the credentials. But yes, he has veered completely off track and he will bankrupt the company unless he is ousted soon.
