Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

They are actively getting rid of good employees

Not talked about, but they are now totally outsourcing AR worldwide to a third party. People who don't work for Mattel responsible for collecting our money and resolving complex payment issues. People who don't care about the company, just making their numbers to "touch" things. Tossing out so many years of Mattel experience for people off the street making 15K a year in other countries (where maybe that is a good wage). I feel bad for my coworkers getting thrown away like anyone could do the job, which the BPO has proven they can't. Very sad.

Well said, @6seo+1hNUhl2T.

Worldwide 8’m not sure. At least 6 from North America and a few each from EMEA & APAC. There weren’t very many Mattel employees anymore, but they were keeping everything going and other areas depended on them. Now they only have a third party who don’t really understand the big picture, or have a real interest in Mattel. It’s confusing the decisions being made, they don’t seem vey good for the company.
