Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Relatives

If you listed relatives that work at WF when your applying for a new role, beware that it can take several days before they will share with you the offer. Apparently this is new as part of Workday. Part of verifying if there are any conflicts of interest.

Has this happened to anyone?

I would never refer any friend or family to this place . So I’m clear on any relationship at the stage coach

Yes, but they told me about the offer and it would come after the verification.

Yup. Have a relative here and took weeks to get cleared even though they work in a completely different area

My internal interview process took 6 months and when I pinged, the recruiter says they are working on getting approval for conflict of interest. What the f- you are doing for six months. What will happen if they don't approve now. All the effort and interview process, my preparation and all my effort gone waste. You also ki---d my other opportunities for last six months? What the f... is 'family/friends' clearance? Someone should take it upper management.

I posted or an internal position, interviewed with recruiter, she left Wells the next week. Got 2nd interview 3 weeks later. That was 2+ months ago. Position is still open and being held up by recruiting I'm told. Hiring manager trying to get 3rd round of interviews going but can't. Ridiculous.

Yeah happened to my wife. I've been with Wells for 14 years, her 20. She took a new position but it took ~2 weeks after the last interview to get the offer and they told her it was because of this family/friends clearance. No idea why it took so long now, we've both gotten promotions in those 14 years with no issue.

They are buried in open reqs and don't have the capacity to handle all of the workload.

Not sure that has anything to do with your delay, or just HR being slow as F right now. They are taking forever to move candidates through the process
