Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Packages in the UK?

Looks like August 31st is going to be the last day for many old hands in the UK.

Already seeing garden leave posts on LinkedIn from a few..

Not sure of the target numbers in this round though.

@4sgi+1hzwwaAu Oh i understand , but you pay people next to nothing like in India and you get next to nothing. sure there are some outstanding technical people from India , but most cant debug themselves out of a wet paper bag. Always saying not my job, or can't be done in that time frame, but never come up with solutions.

Out sourcing your suppose to leverage people, you can't do that if you let accounts run anything they want, you need repeatable offerings server, applications, databases, storage and networking.

@3mh - Your comment is childish and am sure, part of the reason why this company is sinking is because we have too many people like you - who doesn't understand how outsourcing business works!

We aren't all the same.
I got 2 people promoted and I have spent 22 years at the coal face so I look after my people.
Is it perfect, no?!
There's a global recession coupled with inflation. I will always look after my people and if it's not an official points thing, I buy them a present out of my own pocket, be it a case of beer delivered on a Friday night or an Amazon...... We also try to get together for a meal, again, not funded. I love my team. They are the best resource we have and they are family to me. I know them all.
I hate this saying, but, team work makes the dream work.

Who else does things for their team?

To be honest and fair to the CEO, if there is no business in UK then we have to cut the losses and move on. So you cannot bad mouth the execs.

Unsurprising really. Too many of the DXC UK's major clients have left and found new suppliers.

The message to Mike S & Turps is simple: "You can't cut your way to growth". I said that to Turps directly before I was WFR'd a couple of years ago. The impression I had was that privately he agrees with that, but was totally constrained by the policies being forced on him by the "leadership" in Tysons.

Only when the senior team at DXC HQ works out that cutting delivery teams leads to angry customers, and angry customers leave, will they realise that cuts were a bad idea. Unfortunately, it's now too late to fix. I see no future for DXC, except further cuts and more layoffs until, certainly in the UK, DXC ceases to exist. If they think that sticking their logo on a few football shirts will change things, they're sadly mistaken. Their reputation with major clients has been utterly destroyed.

Yep - DXC and Previous CSC has always had at least year on year cuts and lack of investment and pay for majority of the foot soldiers in the UK that actually do some tangible work. Even when useful staff have been booted off - the existing staff are forced / pressure to do more and to do more than their jobs work and contractual hours - often nights and many weekends.

Good in way for talented employees in DXC to leave this %%$%$$ - still no improvement on turning this turkey around from Mr Shouty and to retire or land a better position at company that invests in their people and pay a competitive wage.

All we left is will be yes / brown nose Middle bullying managers in DXC UK - delivering squat with no decent resources.
