LOL @1uud the walking on assembly lines is part of their job.
The white collar walking is wasting (stealing) company time.
I am sure no one has a problem with white collars walking before/after work or during lunch. But that is not what happens, Ford really needs to get a handle on all the time stealers. One guy wrote some code to make it appear he was doing work while he is off boating. He passed it around to friends, who passed it around,,, If skipping out on work is fine and dandy, why the need to cover it up?

They walk a lot at the assembly lines also and I can't see no one complaining about that.
Socializing also important to your health ergo the virtual Ford walking clubs that walk and talk 3x a day on Ford time.
Jogging is important for your health.
What is going on at Ford today???
Hourly workers are building vehicles.
GSRs: 15% of salaried workers are working (actually producing something); 65% are sitting mindlessly at some useless meeting or just reading emails/their favorite Internet site; 20% are off jogging, shopping for groceries, baking cookies, or just playing with their kids!
LL6-LL4: reading emails, figuring out how to use the latest buzzwords, wondering when they can retire (especially the ones with a pension plan)
LL3 and above: who knows?? In case you haven't figured it out - they haven't known what to do for the last 25 plus years!
Hearing rumors about later this week. I think the timing is probably about right considering the quarterly financials are due to come out. Batten down the hatches.
