Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

The more work you do, the more work you get to do

The biggest mistake I made was taking on more work, thinking that if I worked harder, it would pay off. No, I just got more work to do. Now I’m definitely doing a double or even triple workload and I’m completely exhausted. Now what? Quit? Stop doing that much work immediately? Gradually work less and less?

When I worked there, my favorite saying to co-workers who liked to overachieve - IT ALL PAYS THE SAME. Am I right?

I know someone who left that got a pay raise, and less work. Now she focuses on one customer account and works out one management system.

I guess I like being punished and whipped by Uncle Tony.

In the upside down world of Windstream, the p-o floats to the top. So, stop working and be as incompetent as possible and I guaranty, you'll be in a management position in no time.

“More work” is pretty much the standard no matter where you work. WS might have major issues, but this particular complaint can be heard at any company.

Cut back, all your co-workers have. The LR5-6 quit trying when they got those bonuses.

Been there. Your best bet is to find alternative employment because it's not going to get any better
