I see people complain a lot but nobody is leaving? Do you know someone who left recently? I just do not see any attrition.

I left in April after 16 years. Worked in Agency Solutions under Darren Robbins. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Allstate is a sh-t show.
I was a claims adjuster in CT and managed to get out while getting a large pay bump! The grass is way greener and I’m already being asked about longer term career goals and exploring those options. That never happened with Allstate in many years.
I left for much much greener pastures. ALL is well known for being the worst company out there. The new company already knew some of the horror stories we discuss here.
The former AS people still check in because they’re disgruntled and they care about their former peers. Like me. No other insurance co. has a cult following quite like this one does!
I find it hilarious how all of these people “left” Allstate for greener pastures. If you really left, why would you be wasting one second of you life posting on this site. I call BS in a big way
I left and went to a local competitor. Went from managing 13 litigation reps to 3 unrep adjusters for 11k more in salary. Also now bonus eligible and career options if I want to advance in claims or move out of claims. Make the move if you can. The work from home stuff is also going ti dry up. It’s not working at all.
I left claims and moved to a diff insurance industry role - now manage a smaller team, work less hours, higher pay (+12%), annual pay raise was 5% my 1st year. Oh and 10% bonus. Do the DSM’s even receive their bonus?
Enjoying all weekends and holidays.
Leave, the market is still good. And if you’re in claims, get the he-l out. There are better opportunities out there. Your mental health and family will thank you.
I left. Probably added 20 years to my life. I sleep through the night without waking up in a sheer panic. I can vacation without any phone calls from managers or my backup, no emails and no texts. Never ... ever ... imagined that I would leave Allstate but the culture is different now and the work environment is toxic. Best decision ever.
Plenty of agents submitted requests for Termination payment and over 25 percent today alone
I’m not sure what department you work in but in claims we are seeing the worst attrition ever. People leaving daily. Literally.
And yes they consistently report back that it’s better elsewhere
I also just left from claims and went to a job for much more pay, smaller case load and better career prospects. I also get paid OT and stretch pay if receipts are greater than average. The 100% virtual work was not a plus in my book for several reasons.
I did! I make more money, less stress, less overall responsibility. Smaller caseload. I used to handle litigation and would have to show up at trials. Now I’m just atty repped. No inquiry calls. And I get a bonus too! All together I wonder why I waited so long.
I love how someone said people are just negative by nature and that’s why the site prospers. Lol. Go check the other pages of other insurance companies. Nobody is posting very much at all. This site gets tons of new posts everyday!
Maybe some of you guys work in better departments but coming from claims I’ve never heard AS being described as great to work for. They are an embarrassment and dumpster fire. And yes I left because of it.
Agree. Overall allstate is a great company. Are there better companies? Yes, of course. However, it's a fortune 100 company
Exactly- when you peel all the BS away, Allstate is a great company and a good place to work. Every company in every industry has their pros and cons. Most people are negative by nature which makes sites like this prosper. Many of these posts are entertaining and half truths. Allstate may not provide free lunches and have ping pong tables in every office but they have really good people who deep down want to do a good job- nothing more, nothing less
