Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Today’s Cuts

Well just heard from my DM that MDMs got the news today they are being let go. Unbelievable what keeps happening week after week and no one sees what’s really happening.

Let’s think about this, as store leaders what motivation is there to be the best possible? Literally EVERY position above RSM has been eliminated, reduced, or seems to be next on the layoff list. It’s crazy to think that ANY senior leader thinks that all these continuous layoffs show is a lack of connection to the employee base and how demoralizing and off putting their actions, secrecy, and lies are.

I don’t know how they sleep at night knowing what’s taking place.

Anyone still there is either bottom of the barrel talent or a coward. This has been the best job opportunity market in several generations so if you are still there, you ain’t sh!t.

I was in a meeting with one of our executives a couple of days ago. We were told that even though the business is doing well, looking at ways to reduce top line expenses will continue. It ain't over, folks.

I'd say things will continue to be in flux for maybe the next 18 months (EOY 2023).

IMO I would not expect a stable org chart until summer of 2023. It seems like leadership is still trying to figure out how to best manage at the top and that will filter down. Without promoting paranoia, if you feel like you are getting squeezed out then look around internally and externally. If you get laid off, don't worry. Good recruiters at other businesses know when good people get pushed out as the result of bad leadership decisions and will be glad to scoop you.

Peace.

Plain and simple, anyone left at this company is just desperate. No one who could actually get a job somewhere else would actually stay in this insanely toxic dump.
