My impression is that managers here waste a lot of time on things that don't really matter much, while issues of importance to employees and to the future of this company in general are swept under the rug. How much longer will it be like that?

Metrics that do nothing to provide better customer service are what they hound you about the most.
TPS reports.
Did people clock in +/- 5 minutes of their scheduled start time? Did they clock out +/- 5 minutes of their scheduled end of shift time? Did they take at least a half hour lunch, starting no earlier than 11am, and finishing no later than 2pm?
So much d-mb at this place.
