When I talk to the people around the company the two main things that are complaining about are that they are underworked and underpaid. I, myself, feel the same way too.
It’s not hard to check online and see that there are other companies in the industry that provide lower salaries to their employees. However, we don’t see that much complaining from their employees on this site or glassdoor. So the question naturally comes up. When our pay is compared to the workloads that we receive, do we have the worst ratio in the business?

LOL, last poster, you revised your post. Could relate to both! The micromanagement here is getting to be a real problem too. Excuse me but if I’m already exceeding expectations I don’t need someone breathing down my neck. Focus on the ones that need the discipline, don’t put us all under the lash.
There are a lot of functions within the company that are crushingly overworked. I always feel bad if I am not being ki---d but the people I am talking to in other roles are.
The people who stay here long term tend to be able to handle a huge volume of claims. Once you get caught up in the salary, it’s hard to want to leave if you can manage the workload.
No sales for me, thanks anyways. Would rather be a grunt with a guaranteed paycheck. Though, I admit that what I have read about group health sales brokerage sounds intriguing. You have to be a certain kind of person to be good in sales. It’s not for everyone.
Unless you want the stress of being a claims manager and managing 15 grumpy employees, the money in claims isn't great considering the workload. Work from home is a nice perk but also means no work / home separation and its too easy to work extra hours on nights/ weekends and have the job consume you.
If you want more money, you need to get out of claims and into the sales side of the business.
This website is missing a lot of companies. I assume the employees just don’t know about it, not that they are so happy they never post. I kinda think job misery is routine in the US. It’s rare to find an employee anywhere who’s truly happy at work and not just delusional. I had a friend who exuded “job happiness” rather consistently, but then why did he quit the hot second he had the bare minimum to support himself?
LOL, I haven’t heard anyone (certainly not me!) complain that they are “underworked!”
I think you meant overworked.
As for salary, I keep looking around. Unless I want to transition to another aspect of claims (most, where the stress and workload are greater) I am not finding anything that pays significantly more. I just spoke to an adjuster in a comparable field/company. They had one or two job perks I do not but made 5K per year less. There are always trade offs.
If you find companies that are ba----g out the bucks and benefits better please post them here.
