Ford in last place in JD Power Initial Quality Study

Is anyone surprised? Where is the accountability at Ford for this failure?

Buick took the top spot in the 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, helping lift General Motors to an industry best showing among automakers in the closely watched annual survey.

The survey’s top 10 lists Buick at No. 1, followed in order by Dodge, which maintained its second-place ranking from 2021, Chevrolet, Genesis, Kia, Lexus, GMC, Cadillac, BMW and Ford.

The real number that matters is how much we are spending on warranty and recalls, which is higher than acceptable.

It's initial quality, so after 3 months of ownership. Most problems listed are around infotainment system usually since after 3 months most normal owners don't really know what their car is doing.

It also makes more sense to see this quality study in the different categories of vehicles. So for Ford e.g. it would be more important to see what Full size pick up trucks are doing.
