Received a phone call this afternoon from this company asking to advise me on my new career search. They talked about me getting back on my feet. They know that I work for Allstate. No idea why they called me. They want to assist me in resume and job applying but I am not looking currently and have not applied for any other jobs recently in the past several months. I looked them up and looks like a legit company. Is Allstate selling our information to this company?

Another fine example of the sc-m bag company they have become.
I was laid off from home office on 2016. The LLH Buffalo Grove rep I had was a Joke. I was well prepared and she didn’t know how to help me so she would just read job postings from indeed. Their seminars were taught by vendors. The best thing about them was having the use of their copier.
They're completely legit, though maybe they did jump the g-n. (I guess you'll find out soon enough.)
Take advantage of their services, esp. their resume review and the free LinkedIn training.
If aren't ready to leverage them yet, talk to your rep about having them defer services for a while. This allows them to extend the end date for you while you take care of other pressing concerns.
This is the company that helped laid off employees before with job placement and grooming them for interviews. They did this after people were laid off. I wonder in they accidentally jumped the g-n here.
LHH Service worked well for me after being layed -off from Allstate in 2020. I already had a resume but when they update my resume it was awesome. Like the person prior stated they turned me onto Linked In ..I wasn't looking for a job right after my layoff, I wanted to enjoy sometime off with my family. I also had a couple of Virtual Job Fairs through LHH as well.
They are an outplacement company. I was layed-off by Pepsico on the morning of Feb 13th 2018 and Lee Hecht Harrison started sending me emails that afternoon with all this stuff about my outplacement benefits and finding a new career, making a resume etc...it was all perfectly timed between Pepsico and Lee Hecht Harrison. I have to say the service I got from LHH was okay, they helped me create a resume after not having one for 20 years, got me tuned into LinkedIn which is where all the job search action is now etc.
