Management has been real quiet the past weeks.. something is brewing in the background. Big town hall meeting on Jun22. At this time last year they announced the VSP (voluntary separation plan) with exits by Oct31.
Building and org charts are all frozen and all the HTHD (high tech high demand) engineers are going to Model E (and getting a salary boost).
I work for 3 different managers and I let them know I was retiring in September and non of them gave me a call to thank me for my years of service. I told them let me go and let the younger engineers stay. NESC says I can back out of retirement anytime and tag onto the VSP if one is available.
Either way I am gone as Lump Sum Pensions will decrease Jan 1 2023 because of higher interest rates...like 10-20% decrease... No reason working for free next year.
