Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Peace out su-kas!

Time to blow this popsicle stand. Management is awful, McDonald’s is hiring for more than most positions pay in Sam’s clubs. Newer associates are making more than those who have been around for years. They expect us to do our jobs and the jobs of other departments instead of letting the su-ky departments just fail or deal with their own issues. Not a good place to work anymore. They really need to re-evaluate pay structure for hourly workers who bust their hump day in and day out instead of raising expectations of them to carry the workload of the weak and lazy. Cut the dead weight. Stock holders should dump this trash stock until upper management learns how to deal and adapt to the issues in todays economy and workforce.

Ethics was among the many absorbed into the virtual blob Workday.

"Ethics has been called and so far nothing has been done."

It's a company policy. Still convinced no one knows what ethics means.

The post reads 'peace out' and 'time to blow this popsicle stand'. Then the post uses McDonalds clearly as an intended destination by giving the example that they pay more. This is how the post reads. By reading the entire post one would believe that the poster is in fact leaving Walmart and being hired by McDonalds.

Sams/Walmart sweatshop no longer cares for the associates. There are so many other places that deserve and appreciate your time and work.

Most new employees ARE making more, FACT. Better look into it as we had a gentleman told by the GM that he could leave for 30 days and come back at the pay rate that the new hires are coming in at.

Ethics has been called and so far nothing has been done. This is ki----g the already very slim moral that is still alive. I have come to conclusion that it is time to get out of retail and do not look back.

There are better jobs out there, one just needs to take their time and find one. Best time to look for a job is when you have one. I am thankful for my time at Sam’s but the end is near and time to get off this bus called retail.

Have fun cleaning the ice cream machine and the coffee station. Probably the worst job if any fast food responsibilities.

Sam's cheer is shorter than the McDonalds' song.

I will stay at the club.

Next Post--

Management at McD's is awful. I have to make burgers and fries at the same time! Then an order of chicken nuggets comes up! Where is the chicken team? I'm not paid to count those nuggets! Then a co-worker asks me to get a Mc Frosty for her order! C'mon Bro really I'm up to my ankles in cheese burgers, fries and grease here.

Then next week I'm on a AM shift and have no idea how to get these breakfast sandwiches together at all and customers special order these too. Don't even get me started onto he potato cakes and such.

What the original poster says is true. I asked mgt. and was told Workday offers the hourly wage now. So if you apply and have prior experience (i.e. cashiering, etc), they bring the new people in at a higher wage. Not fair but true. So you can't blame mgt., you need to blame home office.

"Newer associates are making more than those who have been around for years."
This would work, for exactly one day, for me. Let them know that it's time for an adjustment. If they won't make things right, then gtfo!
And yes, it really is that easy. There seem to be way more jobs these days, than folks willing to work them.
