@idw. UFCW depends on the local. Some locals are better than others.

The union that represents grocery workers is your local UFCW. United Food and Commercial Workers.

At this point I would have to say yes to unionizing. We are being walked all over without representation. Unions offer pensions and training for specific positions as well as wage and benefit negotiation for it's members. At one point in Hy-Vee's history we wouldn't even consider unions as we were very well taken care of by the company and treated well. Today it's a whole different story. I have been with Hy-Vee for over 15 years.
