Thread regarding Ford layoffs

There are so many rumors of cuts out there. There must be a firmer time frame of upcoming actions. Anyone heard anything?

Unfortunately, Ford hasn't been managed well in years. Nepotism has been rapid for years; the friends and family plan emphasizes employment connections versus employment credentials, the move to India, and of course, the short days many of the salaried folks spend at work. Throw in management that has Ford family members in charge, and you have what you currently have. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone coming out of school, with an engineering degree or otherwise. It is, in my view, a short-term proposition for employment.

Folks, it is going to be imminent and it is going to b massive. Anybody who has followed the press has seen the countless releases about the new union jobs created.

Farleys' PR team is creating a smoke screen to prepare for a massive salaried layoff. They would do that when the smoke is pretty thick ( which is now) rather than waiting for the smoke to dissipate

I should have remained in the military. Well atleast I have the VA insurance.

Folks, the last round in March, the LL4s and above had to sign NDAs. LL5s and below had no idea until the morning of the cuts. There will be no firm dates above rumors and innuendo. Could happen June 16th. Could happen tomorrow. Could happen in 2 months. No one knows, but the writing is on the wall so have a plan.

The government wants an EV adoption rate of 25% by 2023, because that is China’s adoption rate. But China built the EV infrastructure that facilitates EV adoption. US has not.

You obviously are not in the position to be in the know if you think there is no further work beyond 23MY.

There are so many liars and posers on this site.

Enough.

There is quite a bit of life in ICE.

OP+1hbfyQyI the key is the cycle plan. For Ford Blue that cupboard is nearly empty beyond 23MY. Mostly Cost reductions after that. There are no major investments for ICE so expect PT / PTI to take the brunt along with VAVE.
