Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT has been on the cusp, the precipice, turning the corner

For the past 15 years. They have one win and that was landing the iPhone which they gave their first born for. All I ever see is reorganizations, dismantling, buy high, sell low, and a zombie stock.

@dxl+1hY5ldF4 "Yes, the Iphone was the ONLY great deal the Ratty had in his career."

Actually that was Ed Whitacre - his last big deal before retirement.

Randall took over and it's been one terrible deal after another starting with the failed acquisition of T-Mobile!

Your goals to be considered successful and the board’s goals to be considered successful is not close to being the same. Put in your 40 a week, cash the check and smile.

Any bets on how many years it will take to pay off $135B of debt Stephenson and Stankey created?

T won’t turn the corner because they are too far behind and don’t have the resources. If you you want the stock to go up, shares need to purchased to shrink the availability. While doing that the investment has to continue in the network.
There’s no longer enough cash to invest in the business and buyback shares.
Expect T shares to trend around $20 for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, analyst are expecting Verizon to climb back to $54. T-Mobile isn’t looking back now that they are over $100.
T su€Ks because of poor management over the last few decades. Randall was fired and nobody want the Stank but at the time they couldn’t find a ceo that had telecom/Hollywood experience.

But keep drinking the watered down kool -aid.
I’ll take my pension in 24 months and go work for a competitor. The least I can do is help take business away from T and get paid to do it….it won’t be a real difficult task and rather get quite excited thinking about it

Yes, the Iphone was the ONLY great deal the Ratty had in his career. Does not make up for all the rest of his great mistakes. And if you search for the other thread regarding the history of the Iphone deal - the work was NOT his - but others. He just did not turn it into $hit like everything else. And from what I understand, Steve Jobs wanted a permanent exclusive deal, and of course Toxic-T turned him down.

Toxic-T never turned the corner. Instead, under the lack of leadership of the Rat and the Stink, Toxic-T just accelerated around the bowl until it is almost flushed. I don't see any change of a corner because the Stink remains, the BoD provides NO oversight, and there is no one on the bench to take Stink's place that has any ability, and the largest shareholders, Vanguard and Black Rock will not do anything to right the ship as they are busy with POC.
