Intel's decline is accelerating. If IFS plans succeed, Intel will at best become a second-tier foundry competing with the likes of GF and UMC, producing old-tech low-margin commodity cr-p. Nobody in their right mind believes it will pull 4 new tech nodes in 4 years to leapfrog Samsung and TSMC. Remember, this is the same company that will be shipping Sapphire Rapids about a year late.

Intel practiced diversity equity inclusion in its CEO selection. They had too many smart people in the beginning, Noyce, Moore, Grove. They had to diversify by including mo--ns like PSO, BK, BS, and even PG.
Govt money!
