More directly, my question was, is anybody else seeing it within the last two weeks?

They want the cash on hand and debit to look good for the next su---r to buy this pig.
As others have posted ehen people leave they don't get replaced

Posting job on CL and asking for positive reviews on glassdoor isn't going to save this titanic.

Losing headcount and not replacing employees is integral to Windstream's finances. This is a great accounting trick, and we are a company run by soul-less accountants. Uncle Tony also needs his bonus.

I only heard of one let go but all open reqs closed. Was curious if others were seeing similarities last week.

Not sure for Tony but I know the 'corporate' part of the company uses layoffs to hit their goals so they can get huge payouts. Usually at the expense of the other segments.

The numbers are terrible. The bar wasn’t that high though for the bonus was it. Wonder where he stands.

Eliminating open positions (ie, not replacing someone who fled this dumpster fire) often goes along with layoffs.

Eliminating open positions is one way to reduce expenses. We just keep piling work on the folks that are left.

But if the numbers are not where TT can get his bonus, then heads will roll.
