Hi I currently work at Allstate and have my final interview this week at statefarm. What are some cons and rumor about the company. Is it a good idea to jump the ship to come here. The role is in tech software engineering

Rats-felonies should not knock you out.
Op here ended getting cut from the interview
Well, when I was trying to apply to AllState for a tech role after I graduated college I saw "Soviet Union" and "Unknown" (or undefined, I forgot) as countries under the "Country" list, so you guys need to do some upgrades
Go for it, OP. Inflate your Allstate salary by at least 20% and see where you land. It's a pretty laid back organization (at least ET and IS are).
Looks like the disgruntled clown car has arrived.
@1igq. What a shallow self serving managerial narrative thing to say the same consulting and third parties run and integrate systems and processes at SF and AllState and lie you state is just that. An HR lie
SF is a criminal organization and so is Allstate. Why stay in what people call the "lethal" industry??? Run away, they are all pure sh-t!

As you can see from the negative posts, as with all companies, there are dissatisfied employees that need to be replaced and allowed to move to a company that better fits their situation.
If you are unsatisfied with your current position, SF is more than willing to assist you in finding a better fit. It is better for everyone involved.
Why would Allstate want you to stay, if you are unhappy?
With the upcoming recession, it is better to be working in a job where you are happy, because that shows in your work performance and future advancement.
Op here again does SF like to hire people from competitors?
It will be better and more secure than Allstate. You will still have the same claims frustrations and stresses. Allstate is for sure worse than SF across the board, but not by much.
Since when does “begging” for people mean anything to SF’s bottom line? The fact is tech is constantly on the cutting room floor which is why you find yourself “begging for people.”

What fantasy world do you live in?
I'm in tech and we are begging for qualified people.
Tech keeps getting laid off. You’re jumping from one fire to another.
great company...you will love it
1vut+1hU9ZlOR,
Read his post. He isn't going to claims.
qyr-that is false and you know it , 99% of employees are not here. Many parts of claims have over 50% turnover. Have you not heard of the stay interviews? Retention bonus for claims of $1500 paid next month , the $2000 sign on bonuses for new employees in claims ?
Well OP. Over the past 6 months or more, anybody that was unhappy with their job at State Farm could have easily left since just about every employer was trying to hire and paying a lot of money.
99% of State Farm employees are still here. That tells you something.
Hi I’m the op There’s is a lot of rumors going around just kind want to jump the ship before it sank
It all depends on what the benefits are. Tech jobs in Bloomington are all likely to be similar. All companies need to compete with each other.
WFH is likely to stay at SF.
We have been getting 10% bonuses lately.
How stable is your job at Allstate in the face of a likely recession?
Is the pay more?
