Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Any suggestions?

My manager "accidentally" terminated me from the system while trying to clear an employee that quit and worked his notice. That was last Friday, and the end of the pay period. She told me this as she was leaving for the day and going on vacation for the week, and that she had called HR and it was fixed.

It was not.

Haven't been able to clock in all week, but keeping record of my hours per management in store has assured me that it can be rescinded and should be today (off day) or tomorrow. Here's the thing, got paid out for my 100+ hours of ppto/pto. Nice check, but if I get sick or even want to take a day off I'm screwed.

This wasn't my fault.

Thinking I'm also going to lose my 4 years seniority, which will affect how I gain more pto in the future.

Any suggestions?

Keep fighting and climbing the ladder. Be prepared to pay back any money if you chose to be paid out at club level. You will eventually be retro-paid. Your direct manager needs to be held accountable for their irresponsibility.

To the last stupid comment, how long you've been. With the company affects how you accrue PTO. The longer you've been there, the quicker you accrue.

Learn policy before opening your big mouth.

Since when is there seniority in Sams Club? It’s all about brown nosing and favoritism.

HR was replaced by Workday.

If you are lucky you might get someone from People Services but more than likely it will be either a Payroll, Benefits, or Ethics. Or in other words they will not care and only need to make a metric for call volume.

Try to talk with your GM and see what the GM can do.

Reach out to your regional HR. All pto needs to be reinstated. But as fa as getting all of it paid out not sure if they have to do a payroll correction and you owe that back or what. Keep reaching out to someone higher up on the ladder, market manager, regional hr, whoever. Be a pest until it is resolved.
