Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel and the competition

I received an offer from a direct competitor and I'm thinking about whether it's wise to accept it or not. If someone asked you what makes Intel better and what makes it worse than its direct competition, what would you say?

Take the other offer ONLY if they give you at least 2 pieces of fruit!

The fact that you are even asking this shows that you have Intelised enough and should just stay put here.

Don’t take it if you are lazy, like screwing around, and going from one failed project to the next as only intel provides that.

Does the competition have good coffee and fruit?

Intel does many things right and not many people know that semiconductor industry would not be what it is without investments intel makes in pushing vendors towards innovation. If you have been in FAB you would know.
The other good things are the truly bright but down to earth colleagues & a culture of constant improvement. Intel pays better than Samsung, TSMC, Micron & WD.
Some bad apples have given the impression that it is a rotten place . Intel needs to address its short comings but we need good people . If you you see growth in your future and are compensated well , I will encourage you to consider staying. Good Luck !!

If it is a good deal, accept it. If you can't decide, either it is not a good deal or you are fishing or not smart. Either way, both companies are better without you.
