@wim - Yeah - I'm the @OP (my first one), and I'm telling ya - Go back and look at all the awesome posts by so many people on that/this very topic - People have everything on their PHONE ! Why not just make a quality vehicle, with a reliable screen interface for a 'mobile device' ? Well . . . there are many reasons for that . . .
It takes about 200 annual subscriptions of $360 for some imaginary service to make up the revenue for not selling a single $70k F-150. Who is doing the spreadsheets that say we will make more money on subscriptions??? Who are the salespeople selling all these subscriptions?
Ford loses money on every EV we sell.
How will we make it up?

Earnings will not be good. Rivian investment was worth half of 3/31 value on 6/30, sales were down YOY, and warranty/recall costs are up. Does anyone think we sold enough data and subscriptions to make up for all that? I can’t wait to see the Model e revenue line items broken out from Ford Blue.
