Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

They pretend there are no problems

My manager constantly pretends that business is doing fine, that Mattel is on an upward trajectory. His job is, among other things, to raise morale, but people feel that "false optimism" and it's a bit annoying. Isn't it more important to ensure issues are addressed and solved rather than trying to convince us that everything is in the best order?

it's all pretend. Like the "best place to work" ranking, a total joke. Everyone can get that, no cred. It's because they can't even make it on the real list anymore, the Fortune 100 best companies to work for.

I'm fine. You're fine. Everything is fine! Fine job there, keep it up and you'll be fine!
