I'm at that point. Praying for a payout so I can get the fu-k right out of here. I've never been this unhappy with a job and I doubt I'll ever be this unhappy in the future. The toxicity, the politics, the incompetence, and the overall culture are too much at this point. Layoffs would be a blessing.

@5msj+1hNE9chJ my HR friend. It's interesting you say that as I have seen 35 + RIF'ed. Almost like out with old , in with the new.. Maybe you're right since I'm still here. If I wait til I retire on my own I'm stuck for three more years that's not bad. But I can think of way better things to do. Blessings.
To 35 years. As former HR at Anthem, you are doing a lot of things right, unless something unusual comes up, you are too valuable and won’t be offered a Rif package.
Wishing you all the best when you are ready to retire!
I was rif’d after 20 yrs (rubbed a staff vp the wrong way), but am enjoying my new company immensely. Still working crazy long hours. But plan to retire in two years.
"Get a retirement package" - you say that like it's our choice.
Easy way out if you are 55 years or older with 10 years or more of service. Get a retirement package and enjoy your life.
I share the same sentiment here ... informed my manager for any future layoff to sign me up ... spent 25 years with this company and to be honest .. I hardly recognize this company anymore ..
Maybe they should develop a layoff pool. Everyone that wants to get out via layoff can put their name in the hat, then when Anthem (Elephants Health) wants to get rid of people, they can turn it into a lottery and just pull names from a hat. We are all deemed replaceable with cheaper resources anyway...
@OP+1hNE9chJ. Me first.. I'm just waiting. 35 plus years. I even volunteered with my boss. Told him if we ever come across to reductions in our area I will volunteer. He said he appreciates that . But I'm still here..
