My boss called me ungrateful. Ungrateful? Because I have so much to be grateful for working at Allstate, right? Getting cr---y pay while being overworked is such an amazing thing. Having to deal with him every day and suffer through his tantrums was also at the top of the "I'm so grateful I work here" list. I didn't want to burn any bridges so I didn't tell him off, but it felt so good to see him pi---d off, I won't lie. I think he was just mad that he didn't get to fire me, but I'll take it. I won't miss this place at all.

I’m a millennial and quit after 16 years. I’m now enjoying my retirement as I milked Allstate for all that it was worth. The last few years I made 150k to do close to nothing in Agency Services
Don't let these old timers fool you - they're just mad you're leaving bc then they're going to have to do real work to get the pay they've been floating on! Left Allstate 2020 and received MORE money than staying! There was no seniority on PTO time and it was done fairly by first come first serve. One thing I don't miss about that place is ppl who have been stuck there since the 70/80's making 6 figures to be lazy and not help new adjusters. Allstate is going to be sick they lost you like the workers they laid off in 2020.
You sure showed him! Truth is you are already forgotten as you wake up at 10am and are eating fruit loops in pajama pants watching “days of our lives” while aimlessly scrolling $10 an hour jobs on indeed, LULZ, but your boss was “pi---d off”. You win this round OP! BTW, no onions on my 1/4 pounder, you always mess that up!!
Maybe you can go play with the person who posted a couple weeks ago about how proud he was to quit. At least you have that in common.
i quit, took a month off and found a job 1 month after...? no issue..? what's wrong with quitting?
to the person calling out quitters---i quit and got more money LOL ..what kind of Stockholm did this company hire? I quit and got double pay, free food, and WFH.
If you are still at Allstate you need to look at what is out there, you WILL make more money somewhere else.
Allstate already quilt on us. Congratulations on leaving this place! They’ve been trying to hire and rehire licensed adjusters for the last two years ever since they realized Transformative Growth was a huge mistake. Those adjusters that remained have been working overtime and with double the workload since 2020.
Awesome- another quitter gone. No need for people like you in any company. There is a right way and a wrong way to leave. Quitting almost always comes back to haunt you. Hope everything works out. I’m sure we’ll see a future BS post from you how you are making tons of money with little responsibility at your new company. Any organization would welcome a quitter. Just a hint, when you are interviewing, hide the fact that you are a quitter.
Not original poster here- but Im a millennial and quit. I make over 130K (not including stocks and bonuses) for just knowing how to use excel and getting out of insurance.
Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out BOYO, let me guess, Millennial???
Good for you. When the bad really outweighs anything good you’ve made the right decision! Best of luck to you.
Hey ya did the right thing. Allstate is a stupid job for stupid people.
I have contemplated quitting many times. The workload is unreasonable, and the expectations are unrealistic. As great as it would feel to simply walk away, I can't because I have bills to pay.
If you were able to, I commend you.
