Willow. Yeah. Let’s see how huge and wonderful that actually turns out to be.
We've already held on to it too long to maximize the value due to the sentimental attachment from the ARCO mafia. Probably best at this point to milk it while prices are high. Everything has its price though and we should be pursuing those options. I wouldn't invest anymore though than is required to keep the existing assets going. Prediction, we will unwisely invest huge amounts of capital and wastefully balloon our OPEX budgets during the current high price environment. Then once prices collapse and it gets really ugly, we will fire sale at pennies on the dollar.
Yeah not happening brother! Cash cow with ~20% of all revenue in the company and Willow is going to happen so $$$$$$$$ coming within the next few years. How would the North Slope fields run without the support of the tower? Not possible. To unique of an asset to sell.
Alaska is a political pawn for the time being. This doesn't seem consistent with COPs typical investment strategy of laying low and not being in the media. However, the prize is great should things go our way. If any office should close, it should be B'ville. Why do we have an office in the middle of OK with no obvious reason to be there other than history? Fine if you want to keep the people there, but why are we spending large sums of money to keep up the building infrastructure when it is largely devoid of people. The offices are a ghost town and reminder of past glory days there
The BU’s always been an executive favorite because of the fishing.
